A TEA WE PLAN TO DRINK ALL YEAR: PU ERH
IT IS EARTHY, HAS DEPTH, AND IT IS BEAUTIFULLY AGED: WE ASPIRE TO BE MORE LIKE PU ERH AND RESEARCH SHOWS IT MIGHT BE THE BEST THING TO HELP US.
Pu Erh tea has long been praised for its benefits in aiding weight management and combating obesity, but did you know studies have shown it may also prevent and even reverse the effects of aging? How? By reversing immunosenescence.
What is immunosenescence? According to an article on pubmed.com (links at bottom of page), the effects of immunosenescence "range from poorer responses to vaccination, lower capacity to mediate anti-cancer responses, more inflammation and tissue damage, along with autoimmunity and loss of control of persistent infections."
Findings from the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences in Beijing, China, suggest that Pu Erh tea reverses immunosenescence by "restoring the immune deficiency and decreasing pro-inflammatory cytokine."
THIS SUGGESTS THAT CONTINUAL AND CONSISTENT CONSUMPTION OF PU ERH TEA MAY BE BENEFICIAL FOR BOOSTING THE IMMUNITY IN ELDERLY, HELPING TO BUILD THE BODY'S DEFENSES AGAINST INFECTION AND CANCER.
Beyond its anti-aging and slimming benefits, it is also great for boosting energy and mental alertness. For this reason, it is a team favorite during the work day!
We plan on diving into 2020 drinking lots of earthy Pu Erh, feeling all the depth of a focused mind, and prolonging youthful wellness!
Happy tea time friends!
Hello! My name is Maggie! I am a Marine Scientist that was moved to the New Mexican desert with my family by the Air Force! That move was never in my plan, even in my wildest dreams, and I felt lost in the desert for awhile! Meeting the founding owners of Old Barrel Tea Company and falling in love with the store allowed me to find an oasis in the desert! I had no idea what loose leaf tea was, but now I believe in this company and the product! I hope that I can extend some of the love and knowledge with all of our followers and readers!
