HONEYSUCKLE BLOSSOM OOLONG
We love Oolong tea because it is great for both increasing mental alertness and promoting relaxation - a perfect combination we love for long study sessions, or any type of work, that requires mental energy and focus!
Lemongrass, being a powerful antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory, will help to reduce muscle and joint pain, while fighting off sicknesses that tends to circulate around a classroom.
If you love Jasmine Green Tea, you'll love this floral treat! We love Honeysuckle Blossom Oolong unsweetened and served over ice.
TROPICAL BLACK & LAVENDERSAGE LEMONADE
With black tea, lemongrass, lemon myrtle, lavender, sage, and licorice root, this blend is an overall wellness booster! We love to drink this tea during the school or work day because we believe when you feel better, you perform better!
Black teas are high in caffeine but, because of L-theanine, the caffeine experience is much smoother than what you experience when drinking coffee. This means you can count on getting an energy boost without the spike and fall we tend to experience with coffee. The herbs in this blend are packed with antioxidants that help promote brain health and memory. This, of course, is the ultimate tool for performing well on tests!
Tropical Black blended with Lavender Sage Lemonade tastes like a herby Arnold Palmer! We recommend serving with a big scoop of honey, fresh squeezed lemon, and, of course, poured over ice!
Our July 2019 Tea of the Month is Blood Orange blended with Lemongrass! And if you're familiar with OBTC and our teas, you may notice that we use Lemongrass a LOT! It is found in some of our single blends, such as Honeysuckle Blossom Oolong and Irish Pu Erh; and we blend it with other teas, like Blood Orange (July 2019 Tea of the Month), Blueberry and Peppermint!
Lemongrass grows in many tropical and subtropical areas! In fact, I have had many guests visiting our stores tell me that they have Lemongrass growing in their backyards or in their kitchens! When added to a tea blend, this caffeine-free herb gives the blend a light citrus taste and softens some of the bolder or bitter tastes the accompanying tea may have. Lemongrass also has SO many health benefits! Keep reading to learn why we love Lemongrass so much! 👇
Blood Orange and Lemongrass is a lightly tart blend full of citrus flavors! It is naturally caffeine free, immune boosting and antioxidant rich! We love to sip on this iced tea all day long throughout the summer to stay hydrated and cool!
The Health Benefits

This blend is 1 part Blood Orange Tea to every 1 part Lemongrass, with the exception of for the 16 oz cup. We suggest:
This blend is our July 2019 Tea of the Month! We like to sample it frequently throughout the week - so stop by one of our locations to see if Blood Orange and Lemongrass is available for sampling!
Blueberry Tea has been a part of Old Barrel Tea Company since the beginning! It is full of dried blueberries and apple pieces, with some added tartness from the dried hibiscus! We love blending it with Lemongrass, Mountain Sunrise, and Wild Strawberry!
Last summer, we introduced Lavender Sage Lemonade, and it has quickly become a team favorite as well! We loved how Lavender Sage Lemonade blended so well with Tropical Black to create a tropical, fruity, floral and herbal OBTC Arnold Palmer!
We recently combined Blueberry and Lavender Sage Lemonade together - what a refreshing treat, right in time for summer! As you enjoy this blend, you taste blueberry and some hibiscus tartness, followed by lavender and sage!
Hello fellow tea lovers! So far we've talked about the amazing health benefits of Pu Erh Tea, Rooibos Tea, and White Tea. With the May 2019 Tea of the Month being Strawberry Mojito Green Tea, let's talk about why Green Teas are so great!
All of us at OBTC love Pu Erh teas but Irish Pu Erh is quite unique.
Everday leading up to Valentine's Day, we posted some of the blends we love and why we love them! Here is a recap of all 14 amazing blends!
Last year we introduced D Tea F, an aphrodisiac tea. Both men and women can benefit from drinking this tea! Many guests have asked us what about this blend makes it an aphrodisiac. Let’s dive into the ingredients!
It’s January 2019! Happy New Year! Many people love to start fresh, get a new perspective, be healthier, strive to do better in the new year! Since we at OBTC love all things tea, we combined our White Peach and Cleanse teas in January of last year, to provide a tea option to help us cleanse and detox for the new year (or anytime really)! We love the blend so much that we continued blending, sampling and serving it throughout the year, and we want all tea lovers to know about it!
We love our Cleanse tea, simply for what the name implies: it helps cleanse and detox our body! Cleanse is great specifically for
What is it about this tea, though, that helps us achieve such a cleanse/detox? It’s the blend! Let’s dive a little deeper into how each ingredient helps detoxify our bodies.
Hello! My name is Maggie! I am a Marine Scientist that was moved to the New Mexican desert with my family by the Air Force! That move was never in my plan, even in my wildest dreams, and I felt lost in the desert for awhile! Meeting the founding owners of Old Barrel Tea Company and falling in love with the store allowed me to find an oasis in the desert! I had no idea what loose leaf tea was, but now I believe in this company and the product! I hope that I can extend some of the love and knowledge with all of our followers and readers!
