Sometimes you need a little kick to carry you into the weekend… Check out our favorite ways to get the boost!
SOME OF YOU HAVE ALREADY HEARD...
The OBTC team is doing a 30 day Matcha Challenge: we're drinking at least 8 oz of Matcha everyday for 30 days straight. We decided to do this challenge because we wanted to increase our antioxidant intake, boost our metabolisms during the holiday season, and increase alpha waves in our brains, which are associated with relaxed alertness.
HERE ARE SOME OF THE EFFECTS WE'VE OBSERVED SO FAR...
ORGANIC. JAPANESE. MATCHA.
WHAT IS MATCHA?
Matcha is a powdered form of green tea. When you drink a cup of matcha you're ingesting the entire tea leaf so you get the full benefits the plant has to offer.
THE AFTERNOON REFRESHER:
Sencha green tea with mango, coconut, natural flavors, and blue cornflowers.
HOW TO PREPARE:
Steep for 4 minutes, add MESQUITE HONEY, and pour over ice.
Light, refreshing, fruit forward, and naturally sweet
WHY WE LOVE IT
Green tea is magic It is high in antioxidants, boosts metabolism, and has great neurological benefits! Research shows green tea is great for the brain: It reduces risk of degenerative diseases and can improve mental focus. We like to drink green tea in the afternoon to get a gentle dose of caffeine to carry us happily through the rest of the work day!
HAPPY TEA TIME!
Hello! My name is Maggie! I am a Marine Scientist that was moved to the New Mexican desert with my family by the Air Force! That move was never in my plan, even in my wildest dreams, and I felt lost in the desert for awhile! Meeting the founding owners of Old Barrel Tea Company and falling in love with the store allowed me to find an oasis in the desert! I had no idea what loose leaf tea was, but now I believe in this company and the product! I hope that I can extend some of the love and knowledge with all of our followers and readers!
